Who we are
Pinset ("we", "us") makes Pinset, a Mac app that finds and fixes Mac settings problems. The website is getpinset.com. You can reach us at hello@getpinset.com.
Buying Pinset
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, the merchant of record: Dodo sells Pinset to you, takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, sends your receipt, emails your licence key and issues refunds. Its terms also apply to the purchase.
Prices are in US dollars and include tax where it applies, so you pay the price shown. Earlier buyers pay less: the price for the next buyer is shown on the site and goes up when a price tier sells out. A price you paid never changes.
Your licence
- One purchase gives you a personal licence to use Pinset on up to 3 Macs you own or use. You can move it: remove it from one Mac in Pinset's settings and add it to another.
- It is a one-time payment. Your copy never stops working, and the licence includes all Pinset 1 updates, including new fixes.
- Please don't share, sell or publish your key, or try to get around the licence check. We may switch off a key that is shared publicly.
The free trial
Searching, voice input and seeing the cause of a problem are free with no time limit. Your first 5 fixes are free. After that the fixes, paths and buttons need a licence.
What Pinset does to your Mac
- Pinset changes a setting only when you flip a switch or click Run in it, and keeps an Undo for each change.
- It never changes privacy or security settings and never sees your password. Where macOS needs a password, macOS asks you itself.
- Terminal commands for advanced users are always shown to you before they run, and commands that need administrator rights are only offered to copy.
We test every fix, but Macs differ and Apple changes macOS. Pinset is provided "as is": we can't promise that every fix will solve your problem or that Pinset will be free of errors. Keep a Time Machine or other backup of your Mac, as you would with any software.
Responsibility
As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything to do with Pinset is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost data or lost time. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that can't be taken away.

Changes and law
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and its date. The version in force when you bought applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction, without affecting the consumer protections of the country you live in.
