Find Apple Intelligence & Siri settings on macOS 27

Quick answer

On macOS 27 the Apple Intelligence & Siri pane is called Siri. Open System Settings and click Siri in the sidebar, scrolling down if you don't see it.

Why it happens

macOS 27 gave the pane a shorter name, so the old one you're looking for isn't in the sidebar any more. The settings didn't go away. A couple of rows inside were renamed too: Listen for is now Requests, and Siri responses is now Responses.

How to fix it

  1. Open the Apple menu and choose System Settings.

  2. Scroll down the sidebar and click Siri. On macOS 26 the same pane is called Apple Intelligence & Siri.

  3. Looking for the Hey Siri choice? On macOS 27 it's in the Requests row, which used to be called Listen for. Spoken answers are set under Responses, which used to be Siri responses.

macOS 26 calls the pane Apple Intelligence & Siri. macOS 27 calls it Siri, and renames Listen for to Requests and Siri responses to Responses.

Still not fixed?

  1. Can't spot it in the sidebar? Click the search field at the top of the System Settings sidebar and type Siri. The pane shows up in the results.

  2. If the pane is there but everything is greyed out, your Mac may be managed by a school or company, or Siri may be switched off in Screen Time. Ask whoever manages the Mac, or the parent who set up Screen Time.

  3. If Apple Intelligence options are missing, check that your Mac has Apple silicon and that your Mac and Siri use the same language. You can set your Mac's language in Language & Region.

  4. If the Siri pane is missing on a Mac that nobody else manages, install the latest update in Software Update, then restart.

  5. If Siri still doesn't appear after the update and a restart, contact Apple Support. Something in the system may need a closer look.
