Turn off Apple Intelligence on macOS 27, where there's no single switch

Why it happens
On macOS 26, one Apple Intelligence switch turned the whole thing off. macOS 27 removed that switch: Apple Intelligence now lives inside Siri, and features like summaries have their own settings in each place. So turning it all off takes a few separate steps.
How to fix it
Open the Apple menu and choose System Settings. On macOS 27, click Siri in the sidebar, click Turn Off Siri, then click it again to confirm. On macOS 26, click Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn off Apple Intelligence instead.

Click Notifications in the sidebar, click Summarize notifications and turn it off. Notifications then show in full, as they arrive.

macOS 26 has one Apple Intelligence switch in Apple Intelligence & Siri. macOS 27 has no such switch: you click Turn Off Siri in Siri settings and turn off each summary option separately.
