See who you've blocked on your Mac and unblock them
Quick answer
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Blocked Contacts. Select the person and click the minus button under the list to unblock them.
Why it happens
When you block someone in Messages, FaceTime or a phone call, your Mac adds them to one shared list. Everyone on it can't send you messages, phone calls, calendar invites or mail. The list lives in Privacy & Security, which is easy to miss.
How to fix it
Choose Apple menu > System Settings and click Privacy & Security in the sidebar.
Scroll down and click Blocked Contacts to see everyone you've blocked.
Privacy & Security›Blocked Contacts
To unblock someone, select their name, number or email address and click the minus button under the list. They can reach you again straight away.
Still not fixed?
Someone listed more than once? A person can be blocked by phone number and by email separately. Remove each entry you want to unblock.
Still not hearing from them after unblocking? Check whether a Focus is on, since it can silence calls and notifications without blocking anyone.
Focus
If the list is greyed out, your Mac may be managed by a school or company. Ask whoever manages it.
If someone you removed keeps coming back on the list, or blocking doesn't seem to work at all, contact Apple Support.
